In yet another sign of the impending apolcolpyse, both parties have confirmed that 90's schlocky rap-metal outfit  Limp Bizkit have signed with the coolest of the cool hip-hop labels, Lil Wayne's own Cash Money Records. You may recall Cash Money as the label that launched the careers of not only Lil Wayne himself, but trendsetting young hip-hop superstars like Drake and Nicki Minaj. Cash Money is also reportedly courting Ashanti.

"We're always listening and looking at acts. Every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money. The other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. They're signing everybody," said erstwhile label head Lil Wayne.

From the press release:

“The Cash Money Records and YMCMB family continues to grow and work in various music genres as shown by the addition of Limp Bizkit. We have always admired how they have been able to blend rock and hip hop and will bring a unique sound to the label,” says Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who co-founded Cash Money Records alongside Ronald “Slim” Williams.

“We are excited to see the work and collaborations that come from the entire Cash Money family with the addition of Limp Bizkit,” said Slim.

Limp Bizkit front-man and noted chuckle-head Fred Durst quickly tweeted about the news, sending a couple missives within minutes of Lil Wayne's confirmation.

"The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit," read one Tweet.

"Rock shit doesn't rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I'm back in this ho! #CMLB," read another.

While the signing is sure to raise more than a few eyebrows, it certainly seems to make financial sense for Lil Wayne. Limp Bizkit's last album, "Gold Cobra", their 2011 reunion with guitarist Wes Borland debuted at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Clearly, somebody is buying their albums, even if they won't admit to it in public.
