Even the most seemingly indestructible rock stars are only human after all. Pearl Jam singer and noted acrobat Eddie Vedder has postponed his upcoming solo tour due to injury. A detailed press release explains that temporary nerve damage in Vedder's right arm due to a back injury earlier this year is to blame for the delay.

“After having worked aggressively with doctors and physical therapists for the last eight weeks to repair the damage, the intensity of the injury and time needed to heal has made it impossible to play the shows as scheduled," said Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis. "There was hope up until the last minute that the treatments would be successful. Sincerest apologies go out to those who have made plans and bought tickets. Eddie is frustrated beyond measure, but remains positive that come this summer all will be back in good form.”

The trek was due to begin on April 10, but all dates have been rescheduled for later this year with the exception of an appearance at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The press release goes on to say that all original tickets will be honored on the new dates.
