Legendary British singer Morrissey has announced a comprehensive North American tour. The former Smiths frontman will kick off the trek October 5th in Boston. With the recent rumors about his upcoming retirement continuing to swirl, this might be the last chance to see him perform in America. Most dates will go on sale this Saturday, so get those credit cards ready .

The tour isn't being undertaken to directly promote an album. Morrissey's most recent release, Years of Refusal, has been in stores since 2009. It's widely assumed that this tour will feature more of a greatest hits-type setlist than previous years.

"I am slightly shocked to have gone as far as I have," Morrissey said in a recent interview. "This is my 30th year, and I've aged a lot recently, which is bit distressing for me, as it must be for everyone. The body changes shape and there's nothing you can do about it."
